Fascia is a fibrous, connective tissue present throughout our body. It is an important regulatory system, similar to the circulatory or nervous system. Tight fascia can impact posture and can be the cause or result of limited flexibility, pain, stiffness, lack of movement, stress, and tension. Participants will learn how to use yoga therapy balls, blocks, props, and gentle yoga to release tight fascia. This practice can help alleviate chronic pain, release deep muscle tension, aid in lymphatic drainage, and increase range of motion. The effect is similar to that of a deep massage. Yoga therapy balls and all other props are provided for the practice.
